I'm finally at the point where I feel some real normal-ness. Schizophrenic recovery has been a long, hard road. It has tried my patience and strength. I feel victorious over the disease. All credit goes to a willingness to be "medicine compliant" and physical exercise (walking and weight lifting). Taking fish oil and vitamins has helped a bit too.
I started this blog as a means to inspire schizophrenics and help them get through the recovery process as fast and efficiently as possible.
The No. 1 thing I recommend is physical work or exercise. This is great at healing the mind, soul and body. Taking care of physical hygiene is good too. Wearing nice clean clothes, wearing deodorant, brushing your teeth, taking showers, and optional wearing cologne or perfume and nice jewelry can help empower and grow organization in your life.
As far as medication, I take 2 mg of Risperdal and 4 mg of Ativan, an anti anxiety med. Both meds help me calm the **** down.
Ask me any questions. Peace out!
